Our tour tickets were for 11:00, so at 10:00 we caught bus 495 that should have taken us all the way to Vatican City. The bus was full of other tourists with the same destination, but at Trevi fountain the bus turned away from its route. Everyone became confused, wondering what the heck was going on. We think the bus route was changed due to preparations for tomorrow's funeral procession. After a few stops we got off and took an Uber. Other tourists tried to ask the bus driver what was going on, but he was completely unhelpful. In any case, we made it to our tour with about 10 minutes to spare.
Vatican museums & Sistine chapel at 11am Done at 2pm very tired and hungry Didn't go to Saint Peter's Basilica. Only the top needs a ticket. Didn't look at line waiting to see the dead Pope.
Lunch at wrap place. Lots and lots of walking.

By this point we are totally saturated by the incredible opulence. So much incredible art in one building. Is this the Catholic Church?
