Two Parts:

1. avoiding highways Hotel Veduta dell'Adamello to Villa d'Alme near Bergamo (3h45m 151km)
2. on highway Paladina near Bergamo to Mototouring (32m 47km) saves about 30 minutes if I'm running late

Ride with Alexandro

I left Temú at about 8:30 and reached the pastry shop about half an hour early, but then Alexandro showed up 20 minutes early, so we had plenty of time to enjoy a croissant and machine coffee and Google-translate-enhanced conversation before I followed Alexandro off to show me his stomping grounds.

He took me on an unexpected journey around lago d'Iseo and lago di Èndine. Pretty roads that I'd like to show Kathi someday. Then, I split off in Bergamo taking the E64 toll highway (€4.20) into Milano very quickly. This put me at Mototouring at about 1:00pm. I spent over an hour repacking, then walked to the bus, checked in for my flight, rode the 53 bus to Udine, the M2 metro to xxx, and the xxx Trenord train to Saronno.

La Perla rooms didn't let me check in until 6pm, so I had to kill 2 hours with my bags, but the world is full of nice people. A guy with a bucket of drywall mud let me in to hang out inside to wait it out. Then, I talked with Kathi, walked back to the station to buy a ticket and figure out my departure for tomorrow morning. A brief walk around (somewhat unremarkable) Saronno, then back to my room to optimize my packing for tomorrow.

Transport from Mototouring to La Perla Rooms Soronno

walk to the Via Del Ricordo Via P.Te Nuovo bus-stop, get bus 53 to P.Le Udine Via Carnia

take the M2 towards Abbiategrasso, 10 stops to Cadorna FN (Lambrate, Piola, Loreto, ..., Moscova, Lanza, Cadorna)

take the RE7 2169 Como Lago train 3 stops to Soronno (Domodossola, Milano Bosiva Politecnico, Saronno)

Walk 800m to La Perla, Via Guglielmo Marconi, 27, 21047 Saronno VA

Next morning, to MXP:

Walk 800m back to the Saronno station

Take the RE54 327 train 2 stops to Busto Arsizio, MXP T1 (Terminal 1)
